︎ Press release
In Circulation is a set of six posters resembling newspaper front pages, organized by theme: arts, news, sports, food, personals and ads. The collaged graphics and headlines are pulled from nearly 20 local publications (all circulating in 1967) serving the Bay Area’s many different communities, including the Haight Ashbury Free Press, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Black Panther newsletter.
This was a project of the San Francisco Arts Commission’s Art on Market Street Program, funded by the San Francisco Arts Commission and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
This poster series was part of a citywide celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love.
